10/11 1:41am Ricky O'Conner, 36, and another unnamed adult male were arrested near the Boonville Lodge for reckless driving, allegedly having attempted to run a woman over with a car. The woman had a restraining order against Mr. O'Connor, but it was not working.

10/13 6:21pm A Boonville resident asked Deputy Nordin to tell another Boonville resident that his nut calls were unwelcome.
Crimes of the Week
On Sunday, October 12, 2003, Guy Blackwelder, 54, of Ukiah, was cited on suspicion of battery for allegedly spraying one of his North Main Street neighbors with insecticide. The woman sprayed had a restraining order against the suspect.
On Monday, September 29, at 1:30pm, Mendocino County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Lansing Street in Mendocino regarding 15 subjects fighting. On arrival, deputies found four subjects holding Gary Loomis down on the ground. The investigation revealed that Loomis had been taking polaroid pictures of random people on the street. When one of Loomis's subjects — Jubilee Placido of Mendocino — told Loomis he didn't want his picture taken, Loomis struck him in the face with his fist. During the next few moments as other citizens tried to calm Loomis, the photographer assaulted at least four more people. Loomis was eventually subdued by passersby until the deputies arrived, at which point Mr. Loomis was arrested for assault and battery. Bail was set at $2500. (— Sgt. J.D. Bushnell)
