Oceanview Chapter 111, Order of Eastern Star, met on Tuesday, March 18th for their monthly, stated meeting. Our Deputy Grand Matron, Linda Fuentes and her escort and husband Oscar were present and we enjoyed their company. It had come to our attention that several of our past members who had left our Chapter were anxious to return to us. There is a procedure for this to occur, and, it was discussed so that we could make it as direct and effortless as possible to welcome them back. It was learned that several of our members would be out of state during our April stated meeting, so, the event we had planned for April will be moved to July, 2014. A copy of the revised agenda, and, refreshment agenda will be emailed or sent to each attending member. Coming events were announced including the Cotton Auditorium symphony preceded by dinner at the FB Senior Center, and the Tall Ship Hawaiian Chieftain to be featured at the harbor in Fort Bragg on April 10 and 11. Tours available. Our Sand$$$ committee has announced that a second SCRABBLE tournament will be held at the Mendocino Masonic Center on June 7th, 2-5pm as the first tournament was so well received in our community. Presently our fundraiser is the selling of See’s Candies for Easter. It was discussed that we would arrange several events for the Masonic Child ID Program so please watch the local news as this is a fine ID program for any child.
