The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Red Flag Warning for isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms with abundant lightning, which is in effect from 11 pm this evening to 7 am PDT Tuesday.
* Thunderstorms...Isolated mainly dry thunderstorms developing late tonight and early Tuesday morning in the extreme southeast portions of the zones.
* Outflow winds...Gusty winds to 40 mph are possible.
* Impacts...Lightning strikes on very dry fuels could result in fire starts.
A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.
