Patricia Ann Wood Doggett

PatriciaDoggettPatricia Ann Wood Doggett was born August 19, 1947 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas and passed away on August 11, 2014 in Ukiah. She moved to Mendocino County when she was five months old. Patricia grew up, attended school, and lived her entire life in Boonville. After graduating high school, she attended Santa Rosa Junior College. She was employed at the Mendocino County Assessor’s Office. She married Clyde Doggett on March 8, 1969 and had two daughters. She raised her two daughters, and later on worked as the cook for the Anderson Valley Senior Center. She retired when her grandsons were born in order to babysit them. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, sewing, and attending church.

Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Jack Wood, and her mother, Berniece Wood. She’s survived by her husband of 45 years, Clyde Doggett, her daughters Mary Doggett Barnes (David) and Jennifer Doggett Fane (Gerry Painter), her grandsons Wil David Barnes and Luke James Fane. Patricia is also survived by her siblings Tom Wood (Sandy) of St. Helens, OR, Patsy Barragan (Antonio) of Yorkville, CA, and Ivan Wood (Barbara) of Pocahontas, AR, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 11:00, at Evergreen Cemetery in Boonville. A celebration of her life will follow at the Anderson Valley Veteran’s Building. A viewing will be held at Eversole Mortuary on Thursday, August 14, from 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Eversole Mortuary.
