I met Jerry at the beginning of our freshman year
at Notre Dame in September 1963. Jerry almost immediately received the moniker Ang (his father’s name is Angelo) which stuck with him the four years under the Dome. The two life molding forces that moved Jerry along during his college days were his family and “the Beach Boys”.

After our undergraduate years, as often happens, our lives went in different directions. We were an odd couple; a freshman engineering student that became a grape grower and a guy who couldn’t add who became a CPA.

I pray that Notre Dame Our Mother and Bess (his wonderful mother) met the Lad in Heaven to welcome him home!

My condolences to Angelo, Mimi and Joe.

I only just found out about Jerry’s death a few days ago. I could write a book, but all I can say is “they’ll never be another Round”. Will miss you forever. Mario Alan Cinquino
