UKIAH VALLEY ARTIST COOPERATIVE GALLERY

Garry Colson enjoys using different art mediums including; watercolor, pen and ink, acrylics and pastels. His subjects of interest lean toward landscapes, structures and animals. Both Garry’s philosophy and approach to his artwork is very simplistic.

The Ukiah Valley Artists Gallery is located at 518 E. Perkins, in the Pear Tree Center.

CORNER GALLERY

Tobin Keller, born and raised in Mendocino, had the opportunity to travel to, and photograph Iceland and was transfixed by the intricacy of design within even the smallest forms in the landscape. Art has been a driving force in his life, and natural beauty its impetus. Tobin works as a freelance illustrator, muralist, and educator. Since 2005 Tobin has taught courses at Mendocino College.

ART CENTER UKIAH

Art Center Ukiah's hosts a crab and wine appetizer, featuring local crab and local wines and live music in celebration of Mendocino County Crab Wine and Beer Festival. An exhibit of the juried art show of “Wind, Waves & Whatever”: photographs, paintings, textiles, mosaics and more. Other galleries in Ukiah will be open for the Art Walk. Fundraiser appetizer plate is $5.

The Grace Hudson Museum is between exhibits and will be closed the First Friday in January.

MAIN BRANCH LIBRARY

The Mendocino County Library, Ukiah Branch is hosting our January First Friday Art Walk: Soul Collage and Mandalas for the New Year.

Friday, January 2nd, from 5-8pm Soul Collage is a creative and satisfying collage process accessible to even those who have no prior art experience. In this introductory workshop, using found images, participants are able to create cards that reflect aspects of themselves.

This is a 12 years and older welcome event and space is limited, please sign up at the Ukiah Library Circulation Desk. Children and their parents are welcome to create mandalas. All art materials will be supplied. Yummy treats from Mama’s Café and live music will be provided. Sponsored by the Friends of the Ukiah Library.
