It is for gun manufacturers, gun dealers, funeral homes and the NRA. The politicians are too gutless to do anything and The Supreme Court shares a lot of the blame for their ruling on the 2nd Amendment. All of these people have a lot blood on their hands.

    Jim and Zack,

Many years ago, some municipalities punished DUI cases by obliging the accused to accompany police to the scene of serious car accidents. In lieu of going to jail, they had to view the wreckage of machines and human beings. It was an effective program.

Perhaps this strategy should be applied to gun dealers. Before obtaining a permit to sell firearms, the potential dealer could be compelled to visit and examine gunshot victims in the hospital emergency room, intensive care unit, or morgue.

I wonder how many would opt to go into another profession.

Louis, I agree that in a sane and rational society education would prove a real value for the people. Instead we are a violent, out of control nation from top to bottom. The fish rots from the head.

I’ll happily give up my modest arsenal of rubberband guns once we pull our troops out of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, etc. It’s impossible to take anything the chickenhawks says re: gun violence seriously when they stage photo ops high-fiving each other like cowardly fools when Bin Laden takes one in the temple (though he likely died years ago). Meanwhile our boys and girls are getting their asses shot off across the cold grey sea. The hypocrisy makes me sick.

Meanwhile, drip by drip the blood feeds the machine.
