I recently got my statement from Ferrellgas. It seemed high. As I had done previously I checked with other local propane gas companies and noted that FerrellGas charged me a whole dollar more than Eel River Fuels. I called FerrellGas and questioned my bill including the Hazmat and fuel surcharges. After a bit of corporate speak the representative offered to lower my rate and after a bit more talk agreed to charge me what Eel River quoted as their going rate. This saved me $100 !!?!?!?! on my current statement. I don't have the time or energy to check rates every time I get a statement and therefore have followed Marianne Wilcox's lead and I am switching to Eel River Fuels. Eel Rivers employee Larissa tells me that she has gotten a lot of new business in the valley since Marianne's Wilcox's letter to the AVA.
