Puma Meeting

[Feb 17]

The Mendocino Coast Audubon Society's next meeting will be Monday, February 17th, 7PM at the Caspar Community Center, 15051 Caspar Rd, Caspar, CA 95420.

The topic for Monday's meeting will be: The Mountain Lion - Myth, Mystery, and Natural History of Mendocino's Apex Predator

The Mountain lion, a secretive and predominantly solitary by nature, is a native species to the Americas. It is the most widespread of any large wild terrestrial mammal in the Western Hemisphere. Due to its historical wide range, it has many names including puma, catamount, mountain lion, and cougar. It is an adaptable species occurring in most of California's habitat types. Sightings have recently been increasing throughout the State as more people visit parks, urban growth expands into undeveloped areas, and more people employ motion activated cameras and surveillance equipment. Even though these reports of mountain lion sightings are increasing, fatal attacks on humans remain rare.

6,000 mountain lions in California and many people claim they’re “over-populated.”

Meanwhile, you’d have to SQUARE that number and it would still be MILLIONS short of the exploding human population of California.

FACT: California’s human population growth is almost entirely (if not entirely) a result of immigration. Failing to refute that FACT, anti-White racists claim White people are automatically “racist” if they dare to state FACTS and face ECOLOGICAL REALITY.

If our population was exploding as a result of endless millions of White immigrants the open-borders hypocrites would have no problem whatsoever acknowledging the problem. And neither would I.

Are you a girl or a boy, Pat Kittle, an animal, vegetable or mineral? I would love to see you two days after the disappearance of all Latinos in California. TV showman Mike Rowe of “Dirty Jobs” is paid millions to parachute in and try messy work for a few hours, but mostly we pay Mexicans and similar Others lower-than-legal wages to do the dirty work. Do you get that, you braying jackass? Who in the world would bring you your hay?

Just because you are a wimpy Whitey doesn’t mean all of us are.

Whites used to do their own dirty work, and we sure as hell can get used to doing it again.

I’m 73 and I’ve been doing voluntary habitat restoration (removing non-native invasive plants from wildlands) since 1993. It’s considerably more challenging than picking crops, and the pay is much worse.

      Thanks for asking.

BTW, you’re welcome to join us in poison oak among ticks, rattlesnakes, etc. anytime you’re willing to help.

PS: I guess I have to repeat this for you slow learners:

Anti-White racists claim White people are automatically “racist” if they dare to state FACTS and face ECOLOGICAL REALITY.

Your “FACTS” are like Trump’s “:alternative truth.” California’s “exploding” population growth peaked in nineteen-freakin’-forty three. Look it up, ol’ man (or woman). BTW, I’m 81.

As much as I despise your racism, I respect your outdoor work and your defense of mountain lions, but citing opinion as fact is unworthy of you. Shape up. As to ticks and all that, I’m in the woods every day. They are not a big part of my woodland experience. Mosquitoes–for them I spray myself, whenever it’s mosquito weather.

You say “…’I despise your racism…”

Obviously, you think FACTS are racist — you haven’t refuted any FACTS I’ve stated.

You say, “As to ticks and all that, I’m in the woods every day. They are not a big part of my woodland experience.”

Whatever you do in the woods, I’m guessing it’s not habitat restoration.

You say “California’s “exploding” population growth peaked in nineteen-freakin’-forty three. Look it up…”

FACT: California’s exploding population growth peaks with every passing day.
